Habidatum is an international company assisting urban planners, businesses and professional experts in understanding the hyper-dynamic urban environment.
Our services are built around a powerful urban data platform capable of collecting, storing, processing and visualizing quantitative and qualitative urban data.
This platform ensures an interaction with real-time data flows through the customized visualization interface.
Machine-learning technologies and the system of automated measurements make complex analytical support quick and easy.
The platform helps data providers monetize data by making it useful for public organizations and private businesses.
The analytical relevance of the platform to the current urban agenda is guaranteed by a group of highly professional and experienced urban specialists working globally for Habidatum.
Praising cutting edge technologies, Habidatum nevertheless considers the comprehensive understanding of contemporary and future urban agenda to be its key asset.
We believe that by transforming contemporary planning strategies into data-driven adaptive policies, cities and businesses can generate savings, profits and opportunities.
Habidatum’s approach is shaped around the following statements:
- Digital Jane Jacobs
Shifting analytical focus from built environment to urban community, both real and virtual.
- Spontaneous data
Analyzing «digital traces» of people’s activity, the data streams being a derivative of everyday urban life.
- City as a process
Turning from one-off events to «trends» looking at spatio-temporal patterns; managing dynamic
- Palimpsest and dialogue
Palimpsest and dialogue – communicating with data in a new way: offsetting inhabited environment and layers of data against each other (semantic vs. quantitative, physical vs. virtual); dialogue with data supported by interactive visual analysis as an alternative to just picturing quantitative information.
Beyond software development: Habidatum operates at the intersection of software development, data science, urban planning and digital design.
Our team includes: urban analysts, field-specific experts (transportation, real estate, place marketing, urban sociology); data scientists: analysts and engineers; digital designers: UI/UX and data visualization specialists; frontend and backend developers; business intelligence experts for packaging the solutions; devops and Q&A specialists.
